Vintage Sports Card Shops

2,157 listings in this directory are classified for vintage sports cards — pre-1980 commons, Hall of Fame singles, tobacco-era issues and graded vintage holders. They span 1,479 cities in all 50 states, with 2,109 independent shops and 48 chain locations.

Vintage is the one sports tag with real evidence behind part of it. The base set is every listing filed under Sports or both categories, the same starting point as modern sports. On top of that, 61 of these shops also match a name-and-description rule looking for words like "vintage", "antique", "estate" and "pre-war" — that is the subset where the business itself has said something about older material, rather than the directory inferring it.

Read that number honestly in both directions. A shop can deal heavily in 1950s baseball and never put the word in its name, so 61 is a floor and not a count of vintage dealers. And a name-matching shop is not necessarily a card specialist — an antique mall with a card case matches the same rule. Venues of that kind stay listed but are excluded from every "best shops" ranking on the site.

By state the set concentrates in California (201), Florida (171), Texas (135), New York (125), and Ohio (104); by city, Las Vegas, Nevada (15), San Antonio, Texas (12), New York, New York (11), and Rochester, New York (10). 1,952 carry a phone number, 1,684 post hours, and 1,306 link to a website across the 2,157 listings, and 1,758 have a Google rating attached.
