Card Shop Hub is a directory of card shops. Almost every page on it is a static HTML file served as-is, with no account, no login and nothing for you to fill in. The exceptions are the two forms — Contact and Suggest a Shop — and the optional location lookup on Near Me. This page says what happens in each case. Questions: admin@cardshophub.com.
What we collect from you
- Nothing, on an ordinary page view, beyond what analytics and advertising collect — see below.
- What you type into a form. The contact form takes a name, an email address, an optional topic and listing reference, and your message. The suggest-a-shop form takes the shop details you enter. Both also record the submission time, the request's IP address and the browser's user-agent string, which is how we tell a real submission from an automated one.
- Your coordinates, in your browser only, if you use Near Me. That feature asks the browser for a location and then does the distance maths locally, in the page. The coordinates are never sent to this server, never stored, and are gone when the tab closes.
Form submissions are kept so we can act on them and check back later if the same listing comes up again. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is free to read and carries advertising through Google AdSense. Google is a third party and it sets its own cookies, or reads existing ones, on the pages where its ads appear. Those cookies — including Google's advertising cookie — are used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other sites, and to measure whether an ad was seen or clicked. Other advertising vendors and ad exchanges that Google works with may do the same thing through the same ad slots. None of that data reaches us in a form that identifies anybody: what we see is aggregate counts.
You can turn personalised advertising off for your Google account at My Ad Center, opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking them does not break this site — it is static HTML and will render exactly the same way. Google's own explanation of what it collects is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually use. It sets its own cookies and records a truncated IP address, the page you are on, the page you came from, and coarse device information. We use it to decide what to work on; we do not use it to build a profile of you and we do not sell or share the data.
Other third parties
- Google Maps — the embedded map on each shop page and the "Get Directions" links load from Google, which means Google sees that request. The maps are in an iframe and load with the page.
- Google Fonts — font files are self-hosted on this domain rather than loaded from Google, so a page view does not hit a font CDN.
- Resend — when a form is submitted, the message is written to this server first and then sent on to us by email through Resend. A delivery failure never loses the message.
Each of these has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with what it sees.
Shop listings, and how to get one changed or removed
Listings are compiled from public business data — business names, street addresses, phone numbers, websites, opening hours, and public Google ratings and review counts. They describe businesses, not private individuals, and we hold no personal contact details for shop owners or staff. We do not publish review text.
If you own or represent a listed business you can have any field corrected, the photo changed, or the whole listing removed, with no charge and no conditions. Use the contact form or email admin@cardshophub.com with the shop name and the page address. The same route works for anyone reporting an error: see About for how the data is sourced and ranked.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
