Measured from its coordinates, the nearest other shops in the directory are Chase's Pokemon Fan Club Fantasy (under a mile) and GameStop (3 miles). There are 16 card shops on file in Bakersfield, 12 of them independent; this is the sixth entry in that list. Order on a city page comes from rating shrunk toward the site-wide average by review volume, so a 5.0 from nine reviews does not automatically lead.

The closest other cities with listings are Tehachapi, about 34 miles out with 1 shop, and Pine Mountain Club at roughly 37 miles. 40 Google reviews back the 4.1-star figure — third by volume among Bakersfield's 6 rated shops. Statewide, California accounts for 493 independent listings spread over 230 cities, plus 202 chain locations. 12 of the 16 Bakersfield listings carry posted hours at all, so this is one of the more complete records in the city. What the directory does not hold is inventory: there is no record here of what is in the case on a given day, which sets are open, or what the shop pays for cards. Call before you drive.
