Best Card Shops in New York

New York has 253 independent card shops in our directory, plus 100 national chain locations. Of all 353 listings, chains included, 251 are classified under TCG and 125 under sports cards (a listing filed under both counts in each). The ranking below covers independents only, scored by rating and review volume.

Shops here are scored on their Google rating, adjusted for how many reviews stand behind it: each rating is averaged against the site-wide mean of 4.44 stars as though 15 reviews at that mean were added to it. A thin rating moves toward the middle; a well-reviewed one keeps close to its own number. New York has 250 independent shops eligible for the list, 197 of them with a rating and review count; the 20 highest scores are shown. Ratings on the list span 4.9 to 5.0 stars, backed by between 25 and 866 reviews, with a median of 101. Every shop on this page is an independent; New York's 100 national chain locations and 3 venues that are not card shops as such are left out of the scoring entirely rather than ranked low.

By directory category the list splits 11 under trading card games, 5 under sports cards, and 4 under both. You can see the weighting in the order: East End Gaming, on 4.9 stars from 866 reviews, ranks above YouKnowItCards, on 5.0 from 56 reviews. The 20 shops come from 17 different cities, led by New York (3) and Brooklyn (2). Nobody from Card Shop Hub has visited these shops; the list reflects Google ratings and nothing else, so treat it as a shortlist to call. The full set of listings is on the New York state page.
